Ebony At Baltimore Museum

Ebony G Patterson has a new exhibit at the Baltimore Museum of Art in a show titled “An Intervention…made for kids.” Her designs of 150 hand embellished toy guns are installed in the permanent galleries of the museum’s American Wing. It sits in the same room as a painting of a young boy done in 1804 by the earliest known Black American painter Joshua Johnson (1763-1878), who was from Baltimore. The exhibition is curated by Cecilia Wichmann, Assistant Curator of Contemporary Art.
