Jamaican artist Renee Cox is featured in a group show, The Pleasure Principle, at Maccarone Gallery in LA that runs till November 23rd. The show focuses on visionaries who have taken a stand against respectability politics, pushing the limits of imagery one might expect to find in an art gallery with pieces like Renee's Garter Belt (2001) and Five Polaroid Spectra (2001).
