The Kingston Biennial 2024: Green x Gold, opens on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at the National Gallery of Jamaica, 12 Ocean Booulevard. A release from the Gallery says the exhibition explores the land, environment, and ecology, and the Caribbean’s portrayal as a "paradise."
Ashley James, an Associate Curator at the Guggenheim Museum in New York, and O’Neil Lawrence, the Gallery’s Chief Curator, will curate the exhibition. The 2024 Biennial showcases artists from Jamaica, the diaspora, and the Caribbean. Works are in painting, sculpture, photography, and digital installations. The Kingston Biennial is the NGJ’s flagship exhibition.
