David Miller Jnr

David Miller Junior worked closely with his father David Miller Senior. Along with with a middle man, they produced wood sculptures for tourists docked at Kingston Harbour and were often accused of exoticizing their own work for gain. The Millers remained adamant that their creations came about from an admiration of the human form. Though rumoured to be a Jehovah’s Witness, their work forgoes all Christian traditions against graven images though there are themes of black divinity. Miller Junior died eight years after his father, in 1977.
