Montreal Exhibition with Jamaicans

Jamaican artist Garfield Morgan, who has done work for Panmedia, is one of the artist featured in When Big Man Talk, an exhibition that opens February 3 in Montreal at the Jamaica Association Arts Centre. The show looks at black life in Quebec through the work of Morgan and two others with Jamaican heritage – Anthony McLennon, and Quentin VerCetty – and Daniel Saintiche, a veteran photographer of Haitian descent. Collectively, their work includes photography, painting, textiles, and Virtual Reality (VR).

Pat Dillon-Moore, executive director and curator of the JAMS Arts Centre says the exhibition will show the long history of black people in Quebec.  The show will stay at JAMS Arts till February 10 and will move to the Little Burgundy quarter in the UNIA Hall from February 11 to 14.
