Jamaican in Migrant Stories

A 97 year old Jamaican is featured in Migrant Stories, an exhibition at the Market Gallery in Toronto, Canada. Lloyd Lindo, who left Jamaica with other migrants to help rebuild England after World War II, later made his home in Canada. He now lives lives in Amaranth, Dufferin County, Ontario

Migrant Stories showcases immigrant success in Toronto. The show is presented by Toronto History Museums in partnership with Frankfurt, Germany. Curator Wendy Vincent says the exhibit “unveils the stories of five remarkable migrants, shedding light on the challenges, triumphs, and resilience of those who have overcome adversity to call Toronto home.”

The exhibition will run until May 5 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Market Gallery.
