FILM - ASPIRING JAMAICAN FILM-MAKER WINS INTERNING PROGRAMME

Aspiring Jamaican film-maker Danielle Mullings will intern for the Creative Minds in Film and Television programme at the Sundance Film Festival 2020, the largest independent film festival in the United States. The festival offers a unique networking opportunity, hosting the likes of Netflix, Amazon Prime and aspiring film actors.

Mullings’ portfolio includes documentaries (her passion), including Protecting Port Royal's Mangroves (2019), Cochaboombop / Hip Hop en Bolivia (2019), To Build a Head Girl (2018) and Climate Change in Treasure Beach (2018). She is also a software engineer, winning the $100,000 top prize at the fourth staging of NextGen Creators' Coders of the Caribbean last year.

Her scholarship from the programme is US$500, so she is trying to raise another US$2,099 and airfare before the internship begins on January 22nd, 2019. To make a donation, visit: www.paypal.me/dmullingsja.
