Born in Kingston, Jamaica, W.I., Patsy Mair studied Painting as an adult, beginning seriously in the 1970s tutored by George Rodney, one of Jamaica's master artists. Certification in the discipline was gained in 1996 with the award of the Diploma in Master Art from the International Correspondence School.
